Now, at this point you maybe wondering to yourself “what does all of this have to do with my leisure time?”

Well…one of the essay questions on the test spawned this blog post.  I definitely DO NOT want to turn this post into a political debate…you know your mother always says the best way to keep friends is to never discuss politics and religion , however the answer to one of the questions really made me ponder my life goals.

How much is your leisure time worth to you?

Everyday…we all work really hard to provide for ourselves, our families, and to hopefully help others along the way.  As we think about how much money we make, it is important to consider…how much is your leisure time worth to you.  Why…because how much money we make is essentially saying how much our leisure time is worth…we exchange our leisure time for $$$$.

With that being said, think about where you are right now…not only financially but also mentally.  Are you happy with your life the way it’s going right now?  I know…that is a tough question.  The fact remains that being happy with your life does not mean that you don’t have goals for the future…or that your are content to stay stagnant where you are.  Being happy is planning for your future.  Taking steps to make sure that as you progress in life…you are doing just that…progressing.

Today…make a list of 5 goals you would like to achieve and 5 things that you like to do in your leisure time.  Put that list someplace where you can read it everyday.  Then, begin to take steps to make those goals happen!!  Chances are, your goals equate to things that will help you be able to do what you love in your leisure time.

Funny how as we get older…our value for our leisure time increases.  The nice thing is “older” is subjective.  Whether you are 19, 25, 35, 45, or 85…you can begin to really place a high value on your leisure time…be safe and LIVE IT UP!!!

Michelle got on the internet and begin searching…and found us on WeddingWire.  She read all of our reviews and decided to email that Saturday night at about 9 p.m.  Now I can tell you that normally we do not answer emails that late at night…we for the most part.  But when I read her email…my heart started racing…I felt SO bad for her!  She was in a terrible predicament!   So I emailed her right back…I had her wedding date available!!!  She wanted to see if she could get a trial before she had to leave and go back to Atlanta the next day.  She was really flexible with the time…so we set up an appointment.

So, Michelle and her sister came in and told me ALL about what happened.  The story was very interesting…and I could see where her tone of desperation in the email came from.  We did her trial and she was sooooo happy!  Me too!  I was just happy that I had her wedding date available and could help her!  She was such an awesome…beautiful bride.  Enjoy her gorgeous wedding photos by Scobey Photography .

I love Leanne and she will be apart of my memories.  Many details standout about her and her wedding day, but one thing that I will forever remember is the champagne.  Yes, I know this is an odd memory!  Let me tell you why…I have had many of my brides offer me champagne or a mimosa as she celebrates with her bridal party.  I ALWAYS say no out of pure professionalism.  I tell them that, they really should let me finish there hair first…LOL. 

With that being said, Leanne didn’t have any bridesmaids to celebrate with her.  I had finished her hair when she asked me if I would like to toast with her.  Once again, I said no…but the reason I usually give did not suffice.  I mean I had finished her hair…she loved it.  She asked again and really wanted me to share in the moment with her…so I said sure…why not…but you are positive you love your hair right…LOL!! 

Thanks for a fantastic memory Leanne…thanks for letting me celebrate with you!!

On her first trip to Savannah, she made an appointment for a haircut.  During this appointment, we discussed her hair vision for her wedding day.  Although she didn’t have her dress…she had a vivid idea about what she wanted for her hairstyle.   One detail that she was certain that she wanted incorporated was a braid.  With that in mind, I proceeded to email her pictures of different hair styles that I saw along the way.  She liked them…but was not crazy about any one of them in particular.

We decided to do her trial run the Thursday before her wedding.   When she came in, we looked at the pictures of her dress and her bird cage veil.  Once I saw those details, we began the trial.  The hairstyle we came up with was very unique…she loved it…just wanted to tweak a few details on wedding day.

On wedding day, I must say (and I don’t say this about myself very often) her hair was truely a beautiful masterpiece.  It was the low chignon that she wanted exactly how she had envisioned it!!  It incorporated the braid in a classic…elegant way…but still modern.

“Tiffony is a tremendously gifted, ridiculously sweet, hair magician that you
absolutely must choose to do your wedding hair. I am lucky enough to have
known Tiffony for about a year; she came highly recommended by the event
manager at the Telfair Academy where I had my wedding and I began talking
with her shortly after my engagement. As a bride having a destination
wedding, it was so important to have someone as capable, attuned and
attentive as Tiffony to make me a more glamorous version of myself. When I
met Tiffony on a wedding planning weekend trip to Savannah, I told her what
my worries were with my hair (frizz! humidity! and not looking like I’d done
my hair for ballet class) and then we chatted about the elements of the
wedding I’d planned thus far. As the planning progressed I sent her photos
of my wedding dress, pictures from my fittings. These emails were always
responded to with promptness, real interest and happiness. Tiffony loves

Two days before the wedding I had a hair trial and hair cut appointment with
Tiffony and I got to witness first-hand her incredible knack for calming
people down, putting everything into perspective and creating show stopping
hairstyles. I hadn’t brought any photos of hairstyles for her to emulate but
she asked the right questions – what had I liked about the photos we’d sent
each other previously, what didn’t I like or want, what was the feeling I
was going for etc and then she went to work. I really liked what she did in
the hair trial but was absolutely blown away by what she did for my wedding.
My scruple with the trial style was that it was too traditional/chigon like
and I wanted a softer-romantic look. A very nervous me told Tiffony this on
the wedding day and, in spite of my vague hand motions, assertions that I
wanted it soft and romantic and taking over my whole head so the bird-cage
veil looked full, Tiffony knew and pictured in her minds eye exactly what I
wanted. She had done seven (!) other hairstyles that day and, energy
unwavering, calmed my nerves, helped me get into a zen mindset, made me
laugh and stunned me with the most jaw dropping hairstyle ever. She created
a breathtaking, Grace Kelly elegant, modern, Jane Austen heroine romantic
hairstyle that was exactly what I’d always wanted. She made me a glamorous
version of myself.
My wedding was the week before the royal wedding and all I can say is that
royally appointed hair dressers have nothing on Tiffony. She pours her heart
and soul into her work and honestly cares about being there on your wedding
day. Whether you have the privilege to meet her months before your wedding
or meet her just a few hours before your ceremony, Tiffony will put you at
ease while delivering the wedding hairstyle of your dreams.” ~ Carin

During our initial consultation, Mary had not even purchased her dress yet.  She was still in the early planning stages, but had a basic idea how she wanted to wear her hair for the wedding.  She wanted something classic!   We scheduled her trial run for the week of the wedding.  By then she had purchased her dress…but at the last minute had to purchase another one due to an alteration “mishap”.  With all of that…she was still not really a stressed out bride.  Her new dress was absolutely gorgeous and fit her and her personality to a tee.

I love her hair and the beautiful hair comb…it added such a nice finishing touch.

I am so happy to have been apart of her wedding day!  Looking forward to see her on her next trip to Savannah.

My schedule has been REALLY crazy lately…it is after all the thick of wedding season my favorite time of year!  However, I could not go any longer without sharing the photographs for our gorgeous bride Brandi. 

Brandi was so awesome to work with!  She is a girl after my own heart.  Brandi booked hair and makeup services for her wedding before she even started looking for dresses!!  That made me happy .   Once she purchased her dress , she had a very distinct vision of what she wanted her wedding hair style to be.  She went with a modern twist on a french twist…lots of volume and a little unstructured.  I love the hair accesory that she decided to go with.  It added such a nice touch to complete her entire look.
